Learning to Make Espresso
I bought an espresso maker last weekend and, while I’m loving my little Moka Pot, it’s proving to be a bit of a learning experience. While I have made a few pots of damn good espresso, I’m still trying to find the perfect method.
Some things I’m still experimenting with include:
The ideal temperature that will brew [...]
Ultra Minimal
Sometimes, I think about selling everything I own, and starting from scratch.
It would be nice, wouldn’t it, to have a clean slate? Of course, it’s incredibly unlikely that I’ll ever sell everything I own, but minimalism still appeals to me a great deal.
When I think about the minimum I could live with, and still be [...]
Craigslist is Creepy
In case you had any doubts…
female only needed to share one bedroom suite with male 40, very neat and clean suite, professional, friendly, honest, no pets, no smoking, new appliances, laminated floor, quite building and great location.

Bullet Points
Just a few thoughts that don’t justify a full entry of their own. I should probably be Twittering them, but I want to blog them, so deal with it.
I went to get my driver’s license renewed today, and I felt like a little kid who couldn’t colour within the lines. When I had to sign [...]
Economics 101
I’ve spoken to my parents, and crunched some numbers, and come to the conclusion that I can’t really afford to buy a condo right now.
Technically, I can afford it, but I’ll have essentially no money left for socializing, and nothing to cover my ass in case of emergency.
Because of certain costs associated with property ownership, [...]
Foiled Again!
I have an idea for an online business that I think could do fairly well after it gets going. The cost to me would be minimal (other than time), and the payoff would, potentially, be pretty good. Probably not good enough that I could quit my day job, but well enough that I’d have extra [...]
New Used Car
I’m thinking about selling my car, and buying a “new” used vehicle. I love my car, and I don’t really want to get rid of it. But, I’m thinking that it might be worthwhile to get a new vehicle. I’m not sure how much longer my car will last me, without needed some expensive repairs.
If [...]
NaNoWriMo is for Insane People
As you might know, November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). This means that thousands of people around the world are attempting to write novels of 50,000 words (or more) in 30 days.
These people are insane.
I have attempted to complete the lunatic challenge of NaNoWriMo in the past, and failed. I decided that I would [...]
