A couple of links for you, stolen from kottke.org.
The first is proof positive of what people with good taste in music have always known: Nickelback are a bunch of no-talent, unoriginal “rockers.” Two songs, released two years apart, that sound almost exactly the same. Ignore the lyrics and you’ll be even less likely to spot the differences between the two.
The second link is of a more literary nature. Kurt Vonnegut, classic science fiction/counterculture writer, has died. He was 84. Fortunately, while Mr. Vonnegut may be gone, his words will live forever.
