Beautiful Women Will be the Death of Me

Driving home from work today, I realized that I am significantly more likely to be involved in an motor vehicle collision in the summer than I am in the winter. I mean, I pretty much learned to drive in the winter, so other than the odd patch of black ice, I don’t really have problems driving in the winter. The summer, though, that’s a different story.
In the summer, the women wear a lot of skin[1]. I, being who I am, tend to crane my neck to check out the ladies. As I turned my attention away from yet another of Edmonton’s beautiful women this afternoon, I realized, “I really need to keep my eyes on the road! Beautiful women are going to be the death of me.”

Snort! Adam, you are so honest. Bravo for you. When I was still in university in Guelph, I had a friend who would sometimes momentarily swerve in the summertime. Those were the days when sundresses were suddenly popular. But he was crazy enough that he had an external speaker in the hood of his Camaro, and after regaining his composure, he’d would catcall girls with the CB radio/mic. Pretty caveman-like, but we were young and foolish then.
I’ll admit I’ve had my, uh, attention diverted a few times while driving. But oddly enough, I never had that problem in Toronto or any really big city - probably because you have to pay attention to traffic.
Ha! Thanks for your comment Raj.
Speaking of sun-dresses, I was just think the other day that they are probably one of the greatest piece of women’s clothing that exist. Yet another reason that I love the summertime.
Two summers ago I was driving my father’s fan and had come to a stop at a crosswalk. The truck behind me also stopped, but the driver of the car trailing it was too busy leering at a pair of girls (underage, mind you!) strolling on the sidewalk to notice, so he plowed into the truck, which caused it to rear end our van.
And they weren’t even that good looking.
