Taken out of context, all I know is that this was performed at a Christian youth conference, and that there is no hint of humour in the song; there's a crap-load of unintentional humour, sure, but there is no hint of <i>intentional</i> humour in the song/video. Satire is usually more obvious than "The Christian Side-Hug" rap was, so I guess you're right: it should have come with a disclaimer. (But, if it needs a disclaimer, does that mean that it failed in it's supposed intention?) If it is, in fact, a spoof, then it wasn’t clear. What's worse is that the chorus--"Gimme that Christian side-hug"---is really, really catchy. I had it stuck in my head for at least 2 days after I saw the video...and that was after only a single viewing. It may have been the most annoying earworm ever. It is painful.
