I don’t know about a Guan Yu-style beard, but I’m thinking that I’ll probably let it grow until at least Christmas before giving it the usual trim. We’ll see how it looks when it’s a bit bigger/longer than usual.

No, I got a different frame for the sunglasses. They’ll mainly be for driving and such (my “regular” lenses are Transitions), so I got a cheaper frame with bigger lenses. Here’s a picture: http://twitpic.com/tthx7

Haha – yah, I’ve got high-index lenses as well, and they still told me to go with completely closed frames! XD I blame my mum, as she’s the one who is near-sighted (my dad is actually the opposite!) And did you get sunglasses as well today? Same frames? I know I got sunglasses a couple years ago (so they match my old, smaller, frames and now feel funny on my face!)

Your prescription must be even stronger than mine if you can’t do open bottom frames. And here I thought my lenses were big and thick! I actually pay for the high index lenses, because they’d be really thick otherwise.

In fact, my new sunglasses are really thick because I could only get polycarbonate lenses, rather than the usual high index (or Viseo) that I’d usually get.

Hey! Those look really nice! A medium weight frame like that suits you.
I got a new pair of glasses over the summer as well. I wanted to go with a frame like that, but my prescription means that my lenses are too heavy for an open bottom frame. Ah well. ^^

Oh, man, the people with fake glasses…those people are hilarious. I often think of how freeing it would be to not have glasses, so those people make me laugh.

Agreed, glasses are not a ‘fashion accessory’. Don’t even get me started on people who wear fake glasses just to look cool and hip. For those who really need them and wear them all the time, they are a necessity, and an extension of personality. Plus they’re too damn expensive to buy multiple pairs to match with outfits and handbags and shoes!
