Changes to the Site

I’ve made a few changes to the site. The most obvious is the design. I’ve put a new template in place. I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it or not. I feel it looks a bit more “professional” than the old one, but I’m not sure I like the lack of colour. I hope to start including pictures in my entries more often, though, so maybe that will balance things out.

I’ll give it a go for a few weeks and see how I feel after that. Feel free to comment on the design. This is your blog as much as it is mine, so if you don’t like something, feel free to let me know.

I’ve also changed the About page (again), and added a page called Samples which, as the name suggests, includes samples of my writing.

I may add a Photos page, and include my Flickr photo stream there in the near future, though I’m not sure I want to do that. I’m not really a photographer, so I don’t know if showcasing my amateurish photography serves much purpose here.

Let me know what you think of the changes I’ve made in the comments section, or send me an email if you prefer.

I like it. Nice & clean; good typography. Some nice little touches like Tahoma for the comment input fields.

I actually hadn’t noticed that the comments used a different font until now. I hadn’t bothered to go back and review the comments in old posts after making the change, so I hadn’t noticed. It is a nice touch, though, I’ve got to agree.
