Inane Ramblings

It’s Sunday night, and I’m quickly being reduced to a puddle of sweat on the floor. It’s ridiculously hot in my apartment (and, really, the entire city), so I suspect that I might be less than coherent for the next few days, as a result of the lack of sleep that is sure to result. Perhaps my new workout plan will balance out the fatigue, since exercise boosts energy levels.
Anyway, I have a few brief points I’d like to make for today’s post.
- My friend, and fellow Raving Poet, Mandie Lopatka recently launched a blog. Mandie once asked me who my 5 favourite female poets were. At the time, I couldn’t come up with an answer. I’ve been thinking about that question lately, and I think that Mandie would be one of my five.
- On Saturday, I performed in Calgary at the first of a six part series hosted by the Slakrz. They are looking for more Edmonton poets to go south and participate, and I have been sent back as a messenger. For more details, check out my post on River City Writer.
- I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to beat the heat. As a result, we might as well revel in it. If anyone is up for finding a patio and drinking some cold beer anytime this week, just give me a shout.

Haha! Flattery will get me everywhere, eh?
I should start saying stuff like this more often!
But, seriously, I meant what I said. Thank YOU for not being the kind of person who is afraid to share her writing.
