As you can probably tell, I’m now publishing this site with WordPress, rather than with Blogger. While I’ve only just made the switch, I already feel confident in saying that WordPress is a far better publishing tool than Blogger. It’s cleaner, it’s easier to use, and it just “feels” better. That last point is vague and completely subjective, but I don’t know how else to put it.
For the sake of simplicity, I won’t be transfering the old archives over to the WordPress format. If you need to access older posts, they can be found here.
Another change you’ll have noticed is that the appearance of the site is completely different. I was sick of the old look. I wanted something new, but I didn’t want to take the time to design it. I will likely design something new in the future but, for now, I’ll be playing around with different themes (not defaults, but not my own inventions, either) until I find one that I like. Hell, I may even find one that I enjoy enough to keep. Of course, if anyone out there wants to design something unique for me, I’d be more than happy to take a look at what you’ve got (hint, hint). I can’t pay you, but I will, of course, give credit where credit is due.

I’ll have to wait a few more posts before I can determine whether or not I like your new format, but I do have to say so far, so good. Just don’t start using a lot of smileys and those cutesy animated .gifs and I’m sure this new format will be just fine.
Don’t worry, I won’t start with the smileys and idiotic MSN-style gifs any time soon.
As for the actual look of the site, I’m not sure if I’ll be sticking with the current theme or not. Hell, it’s entirely possible that, by the time you read this comment, the site will look different then when you posted yours.
I like the change. One thing I already miss though is the font of “Ink Slinger.” I really liked how it looked on the last blog.
I may bring back the old Ink Slinger logo. But, for now, I’m kind of enjoying the simplicity of the “plain text” title. More than likely, though, the old logo (or a variant of it) will turn up again in the future.
