R U Serious? New Zealand students to be allowed to use “text-speak” in exams. I’m all for the evolution of the English language. One of my favourite things about English is that it’s a living language, and it constantly changing, but this seems like a step in the wrong direction.
For the first, and perhaps only, time ever I agree with Lorne Gunther. This, along with the fact that the Journal won’t allow me to register my subscription to allow me access to subscriber only content is obviously a sign of the apocalypse.
