Reader Reponse: What Do You Want to See on Ink Slinger?

I feel like this blog has lost it’s focus lately. It’s never had laser-like focus, and I like it that way. I enjoy being able to talk about a variety of topics. Despite that, there has always been a fairly general focus on Edmonton’s arts and culture scene, as told through my personal experiences. I feel like I’ve gotten away from that lately.
I want to get refocused in my writings here. I plan to try and write more about Edmonton’s arts scene (with a focus on the poetry/spoken word scene, since that’s what I’m most involved in). I also plan to try and write more vignettes and poetic reflections of the things I see and experience in this city. Obviously, all of this will be filtered through my own experiences and perceptions. That’s kind of the point of a blog.
Having said that, like any publication, a blog’s success depends largely upon its audience. Toward that end, I want to know what you would like to see on Ink Slinger. Let me know what you’d like to see more or less of. If you think I’m a terrible writer who should just give up forever, let me know. I will very likely ignore you, but feel free to let me know that I suck, if that’s your honest opinion. Of course, constructive criticism is preferred.
If you want to tell me how awesome I am, and that you think this blog is perfect the way it is, I’m always open to a good ego stroking (money is good, too).
In all seriousness, I am looking for constructive criticism and solid advice on how to improve your reader experience at Ink Slinger. Leave a comment or send me an email at adam.snider [at] gmail.com.

“but feel free to let me that I suck”
LOL!
I personally like your little vignettes of life in e-town.
But then again I mostly read because its locally relevant and I know who you are.
@Rabbitfire: Yeah, that should say “…know that I suck.” I’ll fix that. Thanks.
@Allan: I assume that most people who read this blog know me personally, and that this is a major reason that they read it. Local relevance is another big one, and one that I strive for.
Okay, more vignettes. Done.
I enjoy your blog and don’t think you need to change it either.
More vignettes and reviews. If you could throw in the occasional salacious side story, that would be cool.
Confessions of an E-Town Poet?
yeah, you need more titillating tales of adventure with lascivious and libidinous women-folk (or men if you’re feeling really adventurous).
It would rock.
Well, I’ll see what I can do. Of course, in order to cross the lines of good taste, I’ll have to actually find some lascivious and libidinous women who actually want to have anything to do with me.
I agree. I like your vignettes of the good life :). And yes, more scandal :). It’s time you stopped hiding your Jerry Springer-esque world from the internet.
