Simple Saturday: Where Can I Get a Typewriter?

I don’t usually post on Saturdays but, since I’ve discovered the wonders of future posting, I’m going to try and have a post on this blog 7 days a week (even though I won’t actually be writing every day).
Because a lot of you take a break from the computer on the weekend, I’ll try and keep Saturday posts relatively quick and simple.
This week, I just have a simple question for all of my Edmonton readers: where can I buy a manual typewriter in this city? There are a few conditions, though. It can be new or used, but it must be in good and working condition. It must be a model for which ribbons are still commonly available. It must be a manual–no electrics, please!
I know I can order one online, but I’d prefer not to pay out the ass for shipping. Plus, I prefer to support local businesses when I can. If anyone has any information, let me know. Thanks!

Sometimes you can still find them at value village or the junk cellar, but finding ones for which there is ribbon, well that’s up to you.
Yeah, I’ve seen typewriters at both of those places. If I can figure out what ribbons they take, maybe I’ll check some of those ones out.
Scour garage sales. You could also check classifieds, or place one in Craigslist? The Corona came from a garage sale. ANd if you do it that way…dicker your ass off. It pays.
