What Is Ink Slinger Really About?

I’m a regular reader of Chris Garrett’s blog, chrisg.com. Chris started a meme, today, wherein participants ask their users what their blog is really about. Chris was reading Scott Adams’ Dilbert Blog, a saw a post in which Adams said, “Readers tell you what your comic is about, regardless of how many times you address a theme.” The same, is true of blogging.

I’m glad that Chris tagged me for this meme, because it gives me an excuse to ask: What do you think Ink Slinger is really about?

I feel like this blog has lost some of it’s focus ever since I launched River City Writer. Once I started writing all of my Edmonton-related content on RCW, Ink Slinger because, in my opinion, much less focused. I want to know what you think Ink Slinger is about.

I’d tell you what I think it’s about, but I think that might influence the results. That and, to be perfectly honest, I really don’t know what Ink Slinger is about right now. Hopefully, you guys can help me refocus, by telling me what you think this blog is about.

And, because this is a meme, I’ll pass some link love along, and tag a few people who I’d like to see run this meme on their blogs (no obligation, of course).

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to do the following:

  1. Tell me what you think this blog is about.
  2. Ask your audience what they think your blog is about.

hmm… what my blog is really about is pretty much set out in my first post about how i will write sloppy and erroneous, not to impress anyone but to just tell a story… to get something said. mine is so premature, i shouldn’t say what it is about, but i guess it is casual and comfortable as possible storytelling of the day-to-day…

ink slinger is about adam snider - what else do you want people!?

Ink Slinger is about me? I guess that’s true. But, then, what is the appeal for those who don’t know me personally? There are a few of them who read this blog regularly. I wonder what they think.

As for your blog, Mandie, I think it’s kind of what you said. That, and your personality definitely comes through in the posts. It’s the type of thing that I’d probably read even if I didn’t know you, just because of how it’s written, and the fact that you’re personality comes through so clearly.

I believe Ink Slinger is about things that are on your mind if that’s socially conscious things or just randomness. It’s YOUR thought on what life as Adam Snider would be like.

I’m interested in other people’s thought on what life as Adam Snider would be like. Seriously, I want other people to imagine being me. I bet they’d be scared.

I don’t think I could fathom the cigars and scotch habbit LOL!

It’s rye more often than scotch, but we’ll just call it whisky, and then we’re both right. But, you never know. Maybe we should get you drunk and pop a lit cigar in your mouth. Or maybe not…
